LIXI Studios is an Emmy-nominated production studio based out of New York. We run a television station on Long Island with numerous award-winning series. Our latest documentary, Defining Moments, has had sold-out screenings in theaters and been shown at social action committees, universities, NAACP events, the prestigious Gold Coast International Film Festival and more. LIXI Studios founder, Alan Ginsberg, has been inducted into the Farmingdale University Social Justice Distinguished Scholar Academy for this work.

We recently also helped to produce the pilot episode of Wellness Inc, which has been an official selection of the SOHO International Film Festival, Chelsea Film Festival, Houston Comedy Film Festival and Orlando Film Festival.

In addition, LIXI Studios shoots commercial work across the United States and abroad, produced an international award-winning feature film on Amazon Prime Video, and has been behind viral videos receiving millions of views. We also specialize in multi-camera live streaming services.

While our larger success have been great, we are so fortunate to have shared stories of amazing individuals and organizations. We love television, film and and telling great stories.

Below are some of the channels our work has aired on.

Documentary - CURRENTLY TOURING North america

DEFINING MOMENTS

During the 1960s Long Island was the epicenter of major triumphs of human rights as well as inequalities during this tumultuous time. Defining Moments documents oral histories of many amazing freedom fighters in their pursuit for a more just society. Throughout the film, issues such as the struggle for fair housing, the desegregation of schools, the hiring of African-American teachers as well as the unique partnership forged between the Jewish and African American communities are explored. While this documentary is a historical non-political look into history, one activist group that is making good work on Long Island is Erase Racism.

Commercial - Vermont

STRATTON

This commercial is for one of our favorite East-Coast resorts, Stratton Mountain. Located on the highest peak in southern Vermont, the shoot introduced a logistical challenge of managing weather, cold hands and batteries. When visiting, take time to travel to Manchester, Vermont and experience Ye Olde Tavern.

Commercial - Mountain Biking Trails

HEMPSETAD HARBOR WOODS

The Town of North Hempstead in partnership with Concerned Long Island Mountain Bicyclists (C.L.I.M.B.) has mountain bicycle and hiking trails in the Town’s Hempstead Harbor Nature Sanctuary, 200 wooded acres across the road from North Hempstead Beach Park. We showcased the amazing volunteer organization that helped turn this wooded area into a recreation destination.

Commercial - Iceland

CAMPEASY

For the past three years, we have worked with CampEasy, an Icelandic camper-van rental company, on various videos. We set out to shoot commercials in a “vlog” format, making them feel personal and modern. Through this partnership, we have been able to create customized content for each of their social media channels such as YouTube, Instagram, Google Ads and Facebook. If your thinking of visiting, make sure to check them out and visit the secret lagoon! Cheaper and calmer than the Blue Lagoon, this is a LIXI favorite.

Telvision Series - New York

OFF THE TRAIL

Winning the “Best Series” at ACM - Our nature series, Off The Trail, focuses not only on wildlife in the Long Island area, but also how each of us can make a change to the environment. Two programs we have launched are bat-boxes in your backyard, to combat mosquito as covered by the New York Times, as well as a live-quail cam to raise awareness of their tick eating ability, the quail as covered by CBS, Newsday, and many more. To find out about our host, biologist Eric Powers, please visit his organization CEED.

Min-doc - New York

Queens Public Library 125th Anniversary

For the 125th anniversary of the Queens Public Library, we created this mini-documentary covering their history. We were responsible for live-streaming their annual gala, as well as producing all video content for the event including messages from author Min Jin Lee, FUBU founder Daymond John and local elected representatives.

Commercial - New York

PARKER

For the past five years, we have been fortunate to create content for Parker Jewish Institute for Health Care and Rehabilitation. Content ranges from humorous geriatric-themed content to historical documentaries about the organization. While the themes may change, our goal is to bring attention to, and support Parker. Through these films they are able to increase fundraising, which means they are able to treat more seniors.

YouTube

Social Media Content

Receiving over 2 million views on Facebook and over 100,000 on YouTube, this film is part of our social-media content we produce for the film-making community. An ode to the artist and the struggles of creativity.
